Sill Pan Flashings
Welcome to CSI's Sill Pan Flashings page. Our sill pan flashings, which meet all requirements of the AAMA for sill pan flashings.are fabricated from a formable solid plastic sheet of PVC that is .031" thick.
PVC makes a superior sill
pan flashing because it does not corrode or conduct heat like a
metallic panflashing can.
Just fax a printout of your window order and a cross
section of your frame to us at 541-388-6969. We can fabricate a
complete package for your whole order and ship it out within 48 hours.
Shipping for a whole house's worth of sill pan flashings typically runs
around $50.00 coast to coast. Our design allows us to
fabricate pan flashings to the required configuration then flatten them
and roll them up into a relatively compact package. Once they arrive on
your jobsite they can easily be refolded by hand to their original
shape and length no tools required.
We are capable of fabricating one piece pan flashings up to 18’. Another innovative feature of our pan flashings is our patented seamless back dam to end dam corner. It's not possible for our back corner to leak because there is no seam. We fold our corner toward the trimmer leaving only one thickness of material to cover with the finish work . Take a close look at the corner detail pictures.
Constructor Services’ sill pan flashing installation instructions:
1. Prepare rough sill to a flat and level condition.
2. If the weather barrier has already been installed cut the opening with a modified “I” technique. Fold the bottom flap toward the interior. Apply a piece of window flashing flush with the rough sill extend this bottom flashing past the rough opening on each side an amount equal to the width of the jamb flashings.
3. Apply a 3/8” nominal diameter bead of sealant across the top of the sill flashing where it will be covered by the front downturned leg of the pan flashing. Set the pan into the rough opening. Secure it into place with galvanized roofing nails driven through the front downturned leg. These nails should pierce the front downturned leg, the sill flashing and the bead of sealant. Each sill pan should be nailed 16” OC with a minimum of three nails per pan flashing. If necessary you may drive roofing nails into the trimmers to just capture over the end dams on the sill pan flashing.
4. Apply a 3/8” diameter bead of sealant to the top edge of the end dams and to the top edge of the downturned front leg where it protrudes beyond the rough opening.
5. Our sill pan flashings are designed to protect the whole window frame, which may be distinct from the jamb extensions. It is the installer’s responsibility to seal the back and end dams to the window or door frame after the window or door is installed in the opening. Some planning may be required here.
If the manufacturer’s instructions call for additional materials beyond the sill panflashing itself we will be glad to consult with you as to how those materials should be integrated with our sill panflashing.
