Water Infiltration Warranty

Constructor Services, Inc., subject to the conditions listed below, warrants that any door or window that we install will not leak for a period of five years from the time of installation. This warranty is for labor and materials. A written warranty will be provided for each job and must be presented to CSI at time of claim.

In order to qualify for our five year water infiltration warranty the following conditions must be met.:

The customer and CSI must agree, in writing, that the five year warranty is desired and will be issued for this specific job when the contract for the job is signed. There will never be an additional charge for this warranty but some buildings may not qualify unless existing components are upgraded. The building must have an adequate weather barrier to which we can connect our weather barrier system.
The contract for the installation of the doors or windows must incorporate language specifying that a five year warranty will be given for this installation upon it's completion. The actual warranty itself will be in writing and will be signed by an officer of CSI. If there is no written warranty there will be no warranty, implied or expressed.
The warranty will cover the infiltration of liquid water through or around the window or door that is covered but will not cover the infiltration of water through or around any door or window that has not been properly maintained or has been altered or damaged in any way.
This warranty will not cover water infiltration allowed by any other building component other than the window or door and it's immediately surrounding weather barrier. Immediately surrounding will mean only that portion of the building worked upon by CSI.
This warranty will not cover water infiltration caused by the wear and tear that accrues to any part of the door or window through normal use. Replacement of individual components damaged by wear and tear will be considered to be normal maintenance.
This warranty will not cover the actual parts of the door or window. The actual parts of the door or window will be covered by the warranty offered by the manufacturer of that door or window. This warranty will never be construed to extend or modify any warranty offered by the manufacturer of the door or window.
This warranty will be limited to labor and materials needed to restore the door or window to it's weather proof state. Consequential damages to the building or it's contents are not covered by this warranty.
